October is not easing anyone in. This week brings a Gears of War prequel, a Star Wars racer, a brand new MMO and a couple of horror picks to get spooky season started. Whether you've got a whole weekend or twenty minutes before bed, there's something here for you.
Here's what's on our list this week:
Back to Emergence Day, the moment the Locust tore through the ground and the world fell apart. Marcus and Dom, years before the original trilogy. Bring a co-op partner.

Honorable mentions
Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival (October 8): The Cenobites return in first-person survival horror. Spooky season starts here.
Truckful (October 9): Drive a pickup through quiet countryside, deliver supplies and untangle a small-town mystery. The perfect wind-down after all that horror.
That's the week. Back next Monday with more.
