GTA 6 Gameplay Leaks Surface Online, But They're Over a Year Old
GTA 6 gameplay footage has surfaced online, showing protagonist Jason at his home and a purported image of the game's full map.
Rockstar Games has reportedly issued DMCA takedowns, adding credibility to the leaked material.
However, insider NateTheHate says the footage comes from a build that is more than a year old, meaning it does not reflect the current state of GTA 6.
The timing is notable, with Rockstar and Take-Two preparing an extended GTA 6 showcase for Netflix on August 27.
The older build could work in Rockstar's favour, as the upcoming showcase may highlight how much the game has changed and improved during development.
Meanwhile, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has confirmed that the Ultimate Edition is currently outselling the Standard Edition in pre-orders.
With GTA 6 still scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, the August 27 showcase is now the key event for an official look at the game's current state.
